Why and what is ‘Rich Black’?
March 1st, 2015How much more black could this be? And the answer is none, none more black.
Rich Black is a fancy phrase for printing a deeper black than pure black (100% K).
OK so that doesn’t really help… It is used for creating solid areas of black to avoid any brownish or grey faded black being printed.
To ensure a rich black (the right one) for large areas of solid black colour, we suggest adding 40% cyan to 100% black. If you need any advice on altering your colour, drop us an email and we can explain the process step by step.
